Snagged a great deal on Craigslist yesterday. Got a 1 year old fridge for $600 that was originally $2200 when new. The gal selling it was the rich wife of some pharmaceutical exec. Their reason for selling was that the service warranty had expired, and the handles and water supply line were broken, both super easy fixes. Two hours and $30 of parts later, it was pretty much brand new! I'm planning on surprising my parents with it come Christmas morning. I'm super stoked.

Ha! Love this I scored mine free (nice lg) because the lady said it flooded her house and she didn't trust it.. The flood was caused by her paying the cheapest amount to have it installed.. The water hose they used was pure shit and cracked a good 5 feet from the fridge less than a year after purchase yet it had to go.. I bought ice machine water supply line that is much more durable 2 years later not a drip. (Full disclosure didn't find on clist was a friend of a friend kinda deal and not my pic my)

Took a while to like the lower freezer doors but we also have a 2nd fridge and a standing freezer so only ice cream and junk food in those drawers for us:)

What kind of fridge has the handles break?! In all my years of fridge ownership I've never done or seen something like that happen.

That's exactly what I want to know. Or how bad do you have to abuse your fridge to do that?
